Clie has tint on LCD display

My NX70V/G just suddenly started having a yellow tint across the display. The Clie functions normally, but this problem is most noticeable when playing video (TCPMP) where the yellow cast affects the video colour.

Has anyone seen this before? Is it the precursor to something more ominous? Is it the beginning of the end of my trusty NX70?

It must be the connection for the display being interfered with when opening and rotating the screen. The yellow cast has disappeared with the clie in the rotated open config, but the yellow cast can return when just opened with the keyboard showing (as I do, to have it in my cradle at work displaying DateBk6).
