I already set cache size to 4MB and thread-stack size to 32kb, and opera works fine, however, when
1. wi-fi on AND connected to a network, opera works great, so far, no problem
2. wi-fi off, when open opera, a popup asks for permission to turn on wi-fi, tap "turn on", then another popup says "connecting", after 2 second, palm resets.
3. wi-fi on but not connected, when open opera, popup indicates "connecting", sometimes works, sometimes palm reset
can anybody confirm this? especially #2.
and does anybody has any idea about how to fix it?
right now, i can only open opera when the wi-fi is connected, just to be safe.

huh? but the maximum size for cache is only 4MB. how can u get it to 32M?
also, I am new, I never heard about UDMH?
PS. update: right now, it works fine, but now Im in a open network, so not sure if it will still be fine at home where I have a secured network.

prefs->IBM java VM->Set memory Maximum, drag to 32Mb. It's like half way down.

it crashed again yesterday, when I was in open network, so right now I switch back to 1MB cache, seems opera forums folks think smaller cache is more stable. so far, so good.

hrmm... I was on opera last night and your bugs do happen. I never noticed it because I always connected first. So I /can/ confirm that number two crashes my palm. I normally use blazer,a dn I prefer it because, IMHO, it takes to long for Opera's server to process my pages, and I don't find it very secure <.< >.>
Tongiht I'll try and lower the cache size to 1mb and see if it works for me.

I don't have a problem with #2 on my TX, but I did install an additional file. This file cause Opera mini to connect without a prompt. I'm not at my home computer now but I think the file is 'j9secpol.prc'.
Edit: Get it here:

It's linked at the end of message #1.
