Hi all,

I can manually mount and unmount my 256 MB CF but when I checked "automount", manually pulled the CF out (I heard a beep), then inserted it back (I heard another beep) but CF wasn't mounted and wasn't visible. I had to go back to CFUtil, uncheck "automount", then clicked on "mount" in order for the CF to be visible again.

Did I miss something? Does it work for you? I would appreciate any comment.
Thank you very much.

Hi Mike!

When you hit mount manually your are forcing the clie to recognize it. When you hit mount, it should kick you back to the Clie Launcher. Look at the card info app and see if it's populated. Did you try slow mount and slow mode?

Can you copy files from the MS to the CF?

Possible causes, the CF card isn't formatted properly and it will have to be done through a card reader of some sort from a desktop PC and formatted to FAT.

Other possiblilites are a soft reset is needed, make sure masquerade mode is unchecked, corrupt RAM, or an interfering app. At the moment I don't know of any apps to suggest.

If all else fails contact support at eruware.com

Thanks Larry,

Yes, I did format it on my PC using FAT. I was able to mount it manually and then copy files between MS and CF just fine too. I just couldn't have it automounted.

Did automont work for you?

I'll email Eruware.

THanks.

Hi Mike!

Yes, automount works just fine for me, did you try using slow mount? Some cards like the Lexar USB enabled ones may need it.

HI Larry,

Yes, I did but it still didn't work. Eruware said that it's either "the card didn't report to the driver properly or has a slow warm up time". Again, it's more an inconvenience for me than problem so I'll wait for the next version of CF driver or get another CF card to try.
