Basically, I'm shifting the camera and the motherboard of the NX80 into the shell of the nx73. It's really a pain. The screen is easy to change and such, but inside is a labyrinth. There's a billion screws and cables. . .And it's not working too well. I got everything moved over, and first, when I tried to power it up, it would stay on and power off as soon as it powered up, unless it was doing a process like powering up or asking if I wanted to erase all data. Then, it stopped powering up altogether. Now, I switched the NX73 pcb back in and it works, but I've determined that something about the NX80's pcb is either fried or malfunctioned. . . any ideas? Here are some pics below.

WARNING! NEVER TAKE APART YOUR NX SERIES CLIES! THEY ARE HIGHLY COMPLEX AND A ROYAL PAIN IN THE REAR!

say,
Do you know the clie nx80V CCD camera's Chip ID?
I gave it to repair here (my camera isn't well :( ), and they couldn't find what part number it is.

I'll look in a bit if I get the time. Say, think they could get me an NX80 motherboard? :D

All I have to offer is a nr70v with a bad screen (its ok, looks like a disconnection, because its visible and works for about 1 sec when turned on).

Ha, at least your NR70 turns on. Mine turn on only in that the LED light shows green. And that's only sometimes. . . :( And I always thought that Clies had good quality control. . .:(

'Had' good quality... emphasis on the pass thence ;)

My next PDA (and that will take time, after I spent all of it last year on my NX80V) will have Linux on it.. its just doing wonders in the embedded world....

I still can't believe that Sony closed the developer zone in their site...

That's why I use HP now. hx4700 can't be beat at this point.
