How to get all data from old MS to new one?

I just bought a 512mb MS. I use powerrun. Is there an easy way to transfer all my programs to the new MS? Or do i have to manually load them all into RAM and back to the new MS?

Install MX Export from the Clie CD, it does not install automaticly... you MStick will show up as a drive... the old stick first... copy the files to a directory on your hard drive... then take out the old stick and replace with the pro stick... you might have to reconnect the MSExport.. and copy from the hard drive to the stick... BE SURE to instll the Memory Stick Pro utilities on your Clie FIRST thing... or this will not work... Or you can purchase a MStickPro reader and do it that way...:)

Also, you need to rename your MS Pro volume name the same as your old MS. Otherwise PowerRun will surely complain.

Yes, after you download and install the MS Pro driver from Sony Support. Use the MS Import app on your clie in concert with your desktop file manager.

Copy your files to a temporary folder on the desktop hard drive and then copy them back to the new MS Pro memory stick. Do not erase or delete anything, until your sure everything is in place. In fact, leave the copy on your hard drive as a backup, just in case. It's not uncommon for memory sticks to get corrupted.
