Hi finally recieved my 2gb ms pro duo card with adaptor. Put an episode of entourage on it and a film to play in tcmp. It played the videos but when i tried to scroll through i got an error message saying that the index of the videos were corrupt and scrolling was not possible. (i know they are not corrupt) It then froze and i had to soft reset. When i tried again it did the same thing except it did not freeze instead it just stopped recognizing the card. can anyone help? I formatted the card in windows as fat (not fat 32). If you stop the video also it sometimes will not recognise the card when you re open tcmp. It also stops randomly when playing and will seize up. I am using pxa clocker too at 266mhz for tcmp only

Try formating in Clie Files. (backup your files on your computer first, of course)

2GB MS are not officially supported by these machines. Mine wors fine, however this kind of problem may happen.
Maybe you can try a fat 32 driver if dragonsgames tip doesn't make the day

I tried formatting in clie files it makes no difference. I try and play the films and they play for a bit then when i exit the program and go back in the card is not recognised. Clie files does not recognise the card sometimes either. I tried to install dimitrys patched nx73 fat 32 driver but it wouldn't even install!!! After the hotsync the palm returned an error message saying the file was invalid!! I'm actually distraught. I just want to play some films of the 2gb using tcmp thats all really. Surely there must be some way to fix this problem. Should i maybe format the clie completely, back all my apllications up first and try everything again?
heres the error message:

You can't just "install" the FAT32 driver. Copy it onto an operation flash card, then use a copy program such as "Filez" to copy to the main memory.
http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88022&page=1&pp=15&highlight=fat32
for more info on the FAT32 driver
From memory, make the creator ID the same as the FATFS (built-in FAT16 support), and increase the version id/num
You'll then have to do a soft-reset. Read the thread above for the fun and frustration of others.

thanx guys for all your help!!, i thought id 'installed' the fat32 driver wrong anyway. I have tried to play the files off the card directly and your right it has problems reading them. Windows media player says searching for codec, when they are endoded with the xvid codec which i obviuolsy have and they wont play, and vlc player says their index's are corrupt, when i can play the files fine off my 128mb stick. The card must be fake or something. I had heard about the fake problem before so i ordered off an ebay seller with 100% feedback rating, no negatives and over 600 sales. The strange thing was I ordered 2 cards and one of them was for a freind and he uses it in his psp and it work fine. They look 100% legitimate too with lazer cut numbers on the outer shell and legitimate looking packaging and a format size of the normal 1.89gb. i thought that I may have damaged the contact pins when putting it in my card reader as one looks slightly bent, not sure though. Guess i'll have to try get a refund.

oh ****, right this is getting ridiculous...I actually just tried to play one of the files that i thought was not corrupt and the computer is saying it is too! And a file that works when played from my 128 stick on the clie will not play on the computer and it says that is corrupt. I tried to play completely a different file off the 2gb memory stick in my card reader and it works fine now! So im thinking those first 2 files may have actually been corrupt.
I have found a file that is not corrupt for sure and it works both on my computer, directly from the 2gb card and in tcmp when played from the 2gb ms duo oin the clie. However if i try and view the files on the card in clie files it will not recognise the card. I then have to take it out and put it back in to be able to play the file in tcmp again. Also another file that plays correctly directly from the 2gb card and the computer will not play properly on the clie itself causing a corrupt error message and a freeze requiring a soft reset. I'm thinking now that the card is fine it is just the clie not being able to play back the files. As i mentioned before a corrupt file which was not viewable on the pc plays fine offf my 128 stick on the clie. This is all very confusing.
i'm going to try and install the fat32 driver. Sorry for my incompetence but i am trying to copy the patched nx73 .prc file to the internal memory using clie files and when i try and copy or move it to internal it gives me an error message saying it is not pssible also this step:
'From memory, make the creator ID the same as the FATFS (built-in FAT16 support), and increase the version id/num'
how do i edit the creator id and increase the version number in clie files ? and what shall i increase the version number to?
also have other people experienced 2gb ms pro duos not working in their clie, form what i have read they usually work. Also will a different 2gb maybe work?

The "Clie Files" utility won't cut the mustard. You'll need to get a utility called "Filez" (or similar) from http://www.nosleep.net/
Filez will allow you to edit the "properties" of the file.
And my 1GB MS Pro Duo and 4GB CF card work fine with the FAT32 driver playing TCPMP video no problems.
