Launch Wars Results! - Xbox 360 vs. PS3 vs Wii

The results are out. Businessweek reports the total consoles sold from Nov-Dec 2006 (for the Xbox 360, it was from Nov-Dec 2005):

Winner: Wii - 1.1 million units sold
Second: PS3 - 687,000 units sold
Third: Xbox 360 - 607,000 units sold

"...if you look at who won the launch wars by comparing the launch sales, the Xbox 360 sold 607,000 units from November, 2005, to yearend 2005. That comes in third, behind No. 1 Nintendo Wii, which sold 1.1 million units from its release in November, 2006, to yearend 2006, and second place PlayStation 3, which sold 687,000 units from its November, 2006, launch to yearend 2006. "

I have not been able to stop playing the nintendo Wii, its unbeleivable that its half the price of it's competitors and more fun...

My bro got all three and the 360 is better for Gears and I love Wii Bowling. Resistance was fun but PS3 needs a game like Gears.

I haven't been able to put the wii down either. As a result, my body's still sore from playing wii sports. I'm hoping the Wii never dies down as there's nothing really compelling from the other consoles. The 360 has it's xbox live service, gears of war, and halo going for it, but the ps3... if you take out blu-ray (which is still pretty pointless iteslf), you're basically stuck with a ps2.5
