So i want to get more memory but am confused. Which is better - say a 512mb mspro stick or 512mb cf flash card? Which reads and writes faster? Which is generally cheaper.

Much appreciated from a newbie.

MS Pro = $269

CF = $150 (can be 100 if u know where to look)

Speed Wise, depends on the CF brand u get.

Don't forget that the MS Pro requires a patch ~ 200kb ; AND the CF cards requries a KICK BUTT Cf Driver (http://eruware.com) @ $27 (with free upgrades) that is ~ 30kb.

A CF Gig ~ 200 vs an MS Pro Gig at almost the cost of an NX or NZ???

I CHOOSE the CF route...

Get the driver for the CF, buy a CF card and save some money.

Plus have two storage devices on your Clie....

The only advantage of getting an MSPro is if you use the WiFi card a great deal.

I bought a SanDisk 256mb at CC and got a free SanDisk ImageMate free to use with the new CF driver. I am still playing around with it and the few games I have put on it run just as well and launch just as fast as they did with the MS.

yep, CF is the best option to go for massive storage expansion, especially if you like to store lots of mp3s, videos, etc...

CF, CF, CF - that should about do it.

If you want to compromise (say web browse and downloading) then get a 64 MB MS for when you have your wifi card in the CF slot.

Good luck - and let us know what you decide.
