Well, I add/use ringtones that are available free on the internet to add songs/sounds I like . . .
For example . . . I have an alarm that goes off 5 minutes before the bus comes to get my kids, and it's 'Hedwig's Theme' from Harry Potter . . . just use the sound converter to move them in a format the clie can use.
Works great.

I mean i have a alarm set (free) downloaded, but it replaces, not adds to the alarm database.

what device are you using??..... this sounds like the replacement pack for a os 4 device??... on OS5 you just add alarms to the set that are already there...

well then old chap..if you replace the entire sound database then you are over writing the original one....... so there is no way you can keep the original sounds...... unless someone has developed and external tool to 'merge' palm database files??

Check out Hoho available on PalmGear. It enables you to keep some or all of your existing alarm sounds--you add them to your Library. Then, when you install additional sets of alarm sounds, the originals are saved and set aside. Hoho also allows you to create your own tunes.

I use "AlarmMaster" which is good for saving alarm databases and adding new ones without overwriting. I think it's made by the same people as BugMe, but this app really works;)

Another way to add alarms sounds is simply use the sound converter that comes with the Clie. You can convert any midi file into an alarm.
