I am about to send in my fifth TX for replacement (in a 9 month period), and so far Palm has been denying that they're aware of a general problem.
If you have, or have had, a problem with the digitizer on a TX (or a T3, or any other Palm PDA), please call the number I'm about to give you and tell them so. Maybe if a hundred (or more) people call them in the space of a few days, they'll finally admit that there is a problem, fix it, and take care of the users who have suffered due to both the inherent defects in the TX screen and Palm's refusal to acknowledge them.
At least two people (I am one of them) are considering initiating class action suits against Palm, but I would rather have them fix the problem and give me a working TX (or whatever the successor to the TX is, as long as it doesn't have the digitizer drift problem).
The info is:
Palm, Inc. Corporate Headquarters
950 W. Maude Ave.
Sunnyvale, CA 94085
1 (408) 617-7000 Main Phone
1 (408) 617-0100 Main Fax
I have already posted to this forum and http://forum.brighthand.com/. Please feel free to post this information to any other Palm forum, news group, or other venue you can (naturally, you should check to see if someone has already done so, so that we don't end up with hundreds of redundant messages).
The more people who call Palm, the harder it will be for them to stonewall, and the more credence they will give to the vague threats some of us have made concerning legal action.
