Hi,
Just bought PEGA-SA10 for SJ-30 series. Could somebody advise on where to download the latest audio player ver 2.2, the one I have is ver1.0.1.
In addition, would somebody advise on decoder to convert CD audio file and MPEG audio file to MP3 audio file, so that I can play it on the latest audio player.
appreciate advise.

Congratulations! That's one accesoires I'd sure like to have too. Could you please tell us where you bought it and how much you paid for it?
And if you have used it for some time, could you give an indication how the battery of your SJ30 holds up?

I am very interested in that information as well! I would like to run it on my SJ-20 while I am out and about and really don't want the battery running out seeing as you must have the unti on while running it. Thanks!

Although I can't answer the first question, I recenetly brought the audio adapter and have been using it on my SJ-30.
I mainly use it when travelling, so have only really used it in hour 'bursts' but on a full charge, it drops to only about 96% after 2 x 1-hour bursts. (with backlight off - i find it better to set it up, then turn off the backlight)
To be honest, the greatest drain on battery life is transferring the MP3's as sometimes I do it on the run, and have only the hotsync cable (no power!)
In my opinion, but it! I managed to find it for A$139 (about 50 pounds)

So is it worth all the hype??? It seems pretty hard to get here in Canada, I am thinking I should just buy one of sony's actual mp3 player??

I really like it, but it's really up to you, but I do have a couple of points you should consider:
Do you already own a MS that you can use for MP3's? (If you buy one you are pushing the overall price right up)
Do you carry your clie around with you all the time?
Do you want to minimise the amount of stuff you carry?
If yes to all these questions, then congratulations! You should purchase the Audio Adapter.
If no to any of them, then you should think long and hard about it as, a smaller MP3 player might be worth it for you.
James
P.S. the memory stick should be 64-128 Mb (32 is crap, take my word for it :) )

As for 'carrying less' stuff around you: isn't the adapter even bigger than most flash based MP3 players?

Well I don;t already own a MS, but I was planning on getting one anyway as my free RAM is going down the more I use it. I am finding and buying new software almost everyday. But I still think that a dedicated mp3 player would be better as I have a SJ20...anyways I haven't decided yet...

I just bought the SA-10 at www.provantage.com for 84.81 plus shipping. that was the best price I could find anywhere.

My price was in Aussie dollars, as that's where I am at the moment.
As for the size, it's not that big, I expect you can get some MP3 players smaller, but you'd be spending a bit. This one fits nicely on the chain around my neck (under my top) and the supplied headphones are excellent. So I don't feel like I'm carrying anything extra in my pockets.
Sorry, should have explained more the first time

Hi, my name's Ryan Johnson, I own an SJ22 and just bought an audio adapter for it. I'm having some problems getting it to work and since this forum has so much great info about the SA10, I figured maybe I could ask a couple questions about making it work and get some good feedback! :-)
I downloaded version 2.2.1 from nXt's yahoo club and loaded it on my Clie. Opened the program and it appeared to work fine, so I put some mp3's on my memstick in the Palm/Programs/MSaudio folder, using MSimport. They showed up in the list on Audio Player, but when I tap play, or tap on a track, a get a Fatal Alert that says:
"MemoryMgr .c, Line:3307, Invalid card #"
Any ideas? I'm bummed that it's not working...if anyone has some time, maybe you can help me troubleshoot it a little? Thanks a lot!
Ryan

Rodney - Check out this thread (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=685&highlight=SA10) on where and how to get the latest Audio Player v2.2.1
As for converting into mp3 files, try MusicMatch Jukebox (http://www.musicmatch.com/), it's free and I've been using it for years.
Gazpacho - As it was mentioned in this therad, Sony's site (http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=PEGASA10) has the cheapest price for the SA10 at $74.99 USD (at least that I've seen).
As for battery life, I definitely recommend turning the backlight off as that greatly extends battery life. I haven't pushed it to its limits yet, but I've gotten 3hrs+ of music time out of it and still had power left to do other things.
You can get a 128MB Memory stick for only $38 (free shipping) at NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-191-403&depa=1). That's where I purchased my SA10 and MS from several weeks ago.
COmedic04 - please don't multiple post, I sent you a PM.
