I'm using NVBackup 1.15. I installed it, put it in my "Utilities" folder in ZLauncher and in Launch-Anywhere. I accessed it this moring from Launch-Anywhere to see if it did my backup at 1am and was quite pleased to see that everything was working. When I was in the "Utilities" folder I noticed that the icon for NVBackup was gone so I searched each of the other folders. I can't find it anywhere but I can still start it from the Launch-Anywhere menu. Where did it go?

Perhaps in a hidden folder (my "unfiled" folder is kept hidden). Or perhaps in the trash bin?

Hi!
Try to unhide TABs : Menu=>Tab=>"Show/Hide Hidden Tabs" or
Menu=>Options=>ZL Preferences=>General and check "Show Hidden Items".
Hope, it will help

I tried unhidding the tabs, but I don't have any. Still can't find it. Thanks for trying.

It may be running off the SD Card? Perhaps copying it to RAM will solve things.

Is the 'appl'/'NVbk' file in RAM? (Check with Filez or ZLauncher's file manager.)

Did you try "refresh applications" in ZLauncher or a soft reset?

I finally found it on the card under the "Launcher" folder. How'd it get there?

When NVBackup does a backup it writes a copy to the card so that in the event of a hard reset away from a PC you are able to restore your handheld.

You will need to do copy it at least once, inside NVBackup, Menu, Options, Preferences and check mark Put NVBackup on card on backup. You can do it also manually, but this way works great and if Alex updates the program, you donīt have to remember to copy it to the card.

I thought it was copied to my SD Card the first time I ran it from RAM.

By default, NVBackup makes a copy of itself to the card each time it's run. There is an option to uncheck that keeps it from doing so, at least in the last couple or three updates. Personally, I can't see any reason why a person would want to deselect that option. As was stated earlier in the thread, it ensures that whenever you update the application, the latest version will be transferred to the card when the new version is first run.
