anyone tried RepliGo? evidently it's a doc viewer (ANY doc that can be printed) that captures your docs exactly as they look on your desktop...

I just tried it an un-installed it already. The ap is pretty big, and it basically works as a print file viewer. The resolution of the images is very low, so you have to zoom into a small portion of the doc in order to read it. Everytime you zoom to a different part of the doc, or move left/right or top/bottom to see more, there is a noticable delay while it processes the file. It also does not use the virtual graffitti area. In summary, it seems like a neat way to view ANY doc on the palm, but the low res and large file sizes kill it for me.

I'm gonna have to agree with mpbutz.. nice interface, but the inability to change documents, and the resolution is no good. I even tried changing the font size, but all the fonts look blurry when displayed. The reflowing of the document is cool, but I really like my crisp small font in mobipocket. I'm still looking for a decent replacement to avantgo... but it seems repligo is not it.. atleast not yet.

I find it amusing that if I "print" the RepliGo user guide to RepliGo and view it on my Clie NX70V, it looks just like all the other RepliGo documents: Fuxxy, and partial-page. When I "clip" the page into HandStory, the graphics look sharp and the text is crisp. Yes, you lose the specific page formatting, but it's darn close.
If RepliGo took advantage of the Hi Res screen (specifically, HiRes+ on the NX series) it might be much better.
...Still keeping an open mind.

iSilo (http://isilo.com/) preserves formatting better than any other reader that I have seen. It handles not only font color and formating, but images, fully functional hyperlinks, and works at good speed. iSlio loads faster than Avantgo on my device and gives you alot more power in converting documents to be read on a handheld. I have documents that are 13megs on my clie that I am able to navigate through with ease and am also able to copy the text onto the global clip board and paste it into a document that I am building on my clie.

I'm not exactly sure what purpose repligo serves. It is virtually useless as a reader because of the amount of zooming you have to do just for the text to be legible and they really missed the boat on the lack of hi-res+ support. I don't like iSilo (it's just too much for my needs) but as a doc reader it's a heck of a lot better than that. I still use Avant go for browsing news sites, it's just a lot easier and faster for me and I don't need images, just plain old text fits my needs.

If nothing else, Repligo had pretty decent customer support for me.

We will be releasing RepliGo 1.1 in early March that supports hi-res(+) devices and OS 5, along with a few more surprises. If you would like to beta the product, please contact us at support@cerience.com. I would also be glad to answer any questions this forum may have about RepliGo.

The new version really rocks now, and on my NX, it is HiRes+ and moving around on the screen is fast, nice, and smooth. One caveat yet, there is an issue with MS Word XP integration at the moment.
