Hello
I dug out my old Sony Clie PEG-S320 and it still works. Since it's been turned of for quite some time, i lost all the apps i had on it. One of the applications that i recall was a speed reader. It would allow you to read stuff pretty fast by flashing words on screen one at a time. I can't remember what it's called, but i do remember paying $30 for it a few years ago.
If someone can point me in the right direction on where to get this application, that would be great. I am looking for a way to read some books from the Gutenberg project, and not waste paper.

Also, are there any upgrades i should get for it? Has anyone manages to install Linux on this device yet? I'd like to breathe some new life into it.

Thanks in advance!

Wow, tall order. If it still works, then the backup might still be in the pc computer. If you can still hotsync you might regain your application(without the registration code)

If you can find the registration code you have a chance to regain use of the program if you can find the vendor....

Linux? bah! Use it as an e-book reader, I can see no other potential.

Well, i can't resync it. The computer that it was used on has been donated a long time ago. I would pay money for the software again, if i at least remembered the name. So, if anyone knows about this software, i would appreciate any help.

As for linux, that was just a suggestion. I don't know if you are familiar with Rockbox (http://www.rockbox.org/), but it does wonders for old MP3 players, so that's what i had in mind.
