opera mini 3.0 problems on tx

Is anyone having any luck with this browser? I have tried various settings in the java vm but always get lockups and resets. Any help would be great.

You've then probably tried this -

Preferences > IBM Java VM > Global Preferences -

Check 'Use Double Buffering'
Check 'Use high resolution coordinates'

Set Memory Maximum: 1 MB
Set Maximum Java Thread Stack Size: 32kb

These worked for me to get OM 3 running on my TX. Having done so, I am less impressed by the browser than I anticipated I would be. Now granted, its built for smartphone, not a PDA - but still...

Now if someone would port Nokia's browser (for Symbian) over to Palm - and have it as freeware....

Then again, if we wait long enough, Palm will shift to Linux or Symbian and it will be a moot point anyway.
