i have a program whose icon has a tiny arrow on the bottom left hand corner of it. waht does that mean?

i mistakenly have 2 copies of the program on my palm. one with this funny lil' arrow and one without. they seem to be the same versions (4.4) and one is bigger than the other size-wise when i compare them in 'uninstall' program.

what am i missing here?

probably a shortcut created by a launcher

Yes, to what dmitrygr noted. At some time you either moved these applications to the /Palm/Launcher folder of your external card or you used a third-party launcher to do this for you. The arrow indicates that the application icon is a shortcut. When you tap the app icon with the arrow, it tells the launcher to access the external memory card to launch the program. When you have two icons - one with the arrow; one without - you have two copies of the app on your handheld - one on the external card; the other in RAM. You can safely delete the copy on your external card and then delete the shortcut icon on you main screen.
