Hello guys, first timer here. I'm not sure where to post this. I have a situation that I just cannot seem to figure out. Here is what I want to do.

I use a Sony Clie S360 and I am handing down my old Palm m125 to my wife. We use WindowsXP Pro as our OS, and each of us are set up with our own Windows user account, with admistrator priviledges for both.

We both use Outlook and would like to sync our handhelds with Outlook. The Clie came packaged with Intellisync Lite; in addition, we have PocketMirror. I tried installing Intellisync Lite in my Windows account and PocketMirror in my wifes account, but for some reason that didn't seem to work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, this time installing PocketMirror on my wife's account, then Intellisync Lite on my account. My wife could then sync the m125 to her Outlook, but I couldn't sync mine to anything.

If anyone out there could help I would really appreciate it. I think the problem lies in XP and how they programs might use similar files to hotsync or something. Please respond or email me at cwheeler@machlink.com if you have any ideas.

Chris,

My family still isn't really interested in using the Palms I've handed down to them, so I don't have all the procedures worked out yet, but this might help:

You should be able to stall Palm Desktop and PocketMirror once to that computer, then set them up to handle multiple Palms from multiple accounts on the same computer.

One trick in Palm's knowledge base: Windows XP includes a Switch User feature where multiple users can log on to their XP PC at the same time. This situation is not supported by HotSync. Instead of switching users, all users must log out of their accounts and the next user log in to HotSync.

Alright, I tried this. Well, I think I did it correctly anyways. I uninstalled everything from both mine and my wife's user accounts. Next, on my account, I installed the Palm Desktop for Palm. Then on my wife's account, I installed the Palm Desktop. Next I installed PocketMirror in the folder D:\Program Files\Chapura\Kate\PocketMirror, then went to my account and installed it to folder D:\Program Files\Chapura\Chris\PocketMirror. I went to each XP account and opened the PocketMirror settings and on each account it showed the correct settings. Yesterday when I tried a different way, it showed the correct settings for one but for the other didn't show any settings.

So I think this actually may work. Except it still doesn't. Mine worked just fine, but my wife's, when I tried it, started like it was working, and almost immediately finished. It then gave an error like "Some of your things weren't transferred" or something to that effect.

So now, I am back to the beginning. Any other ideas?
