WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF CREATONIA

The world Creatonia is populated with various creatures that may be friendly or hostile, that may be alike or different. But all the wars and feuds stop for the period of the Great Gods Uprising Tournament, and warriors from the very far parts of the world come to tourney.

Your sacred dream was to win this competition, and you manage it. But how can one live with a dream that has already come true? What is the next step? You’re getting terribly depressed after all that euphory. And one day, being in a bad temper, you tell your old Master that you’ve excelled him and have nothing to strain after. He gives you a sly smile and claimes you might be possibly right saying you’re a better fighter but you’re nothing as a teacher. In the heat of the moment you declare you’ve learned all the secrets of the fighting art, and are able to make a new champion out of the least experienced warrior by the next tournament. So, unexpectedly you’ve got a new aim of you life.

There are plenty warriors eager to take lessons from a great master. Those naive newcomers somehow are sure that to be an excellent fighter and a good teacher is the same thing. However, according to the bet conditions, you may teach just one fighter. But your choice isn’t restricted with some requirements - you may take a warrior of any race or specialization, of any starting characteristics (but it only can be a novice), so the whole thing starts with picking up a character to teach.

GAME FEATURES:

More than 150 world areas
28 apprentices (exclusive characteristics + unique story of life)

It looks interesting, but there are no install directions anywhere (that I could find). What files need to be installed? Can any be stored externally? If so, where and which ones?

Sorry for failing to explain the installation procedure. Here are some instructions:

You can install the application PRC file to either handheld or external card. If you wish to install application resource files to the card, you first need to install all PDB files to handheld, and then move them to the card using the InscenicInstaller.prc utility.

To move game data files to an external memory card, first ensure you have enough room on the card, then launch the Inscenic Installer. Select the application name in the Application menu, tap any file on the left-hand list, and pres the All button located next to the Move button. After the move, application files will be located at the "/PALM/Programs/<Application Name>" folder on the card.

I cannot get this to install properly. I put the PRC file onto the palm, and put the rest of the prb files onto the card.

No matter where I put the files, when I click the creatonia icon, it just reboots my palm :(

I tried loading all the files into the palms memory, and still nothing, just keep getting reboots when I click on the creatonia icon :( Im using the all stock TX programs. Only other thing I have is sudoku and pocket money :(

It's the other way round - PRC goes to expansion card, all PDBs go to handheld. Then you use the supplied utility to move PDBs to the card (they are converted from PDB format to normal files along the way). The game probably crashes your Palm when you have all PDBs installed on handheld because there is too little storage space remaining. The game needs about 6 Mb to work.

We probably should have organized a short beta testing phase before launching the Palm version. Sorry I didn't expect so many problems.

Its not your fault. It was user error. I Just got my Palm TX on Christmas and have barely learned anything about it yet.

I'll install it correctly and report back later :)

I am still only getting an all white screen, and nothing loads and it freezes my palm. I have to click the reset button on the back.

This is weird. I don't own TX myself, so I can't be really sure, but a user at our forum has reported running the game on TX (he referred to internal storage though). And it works fine on my old T3, both with internal and a card.

I'll ask other TX owners if they have managed to run the game from expansion card, and will let you know.

Yes, it works on my TX with all files in internal memory, 60mb free space.

But it doesn't work if i move the files to card with the installer.

I think I have found a fix. It's difficult to be sure, as various devices apparently behave differently when using non-documented API call (which I just have to use). But I managed to make Sony Clie work with resources located on an external card. It didn't work before on Clie, but always worked on my T3. Anyway, please check the update at http://inscenic.com/files/Creatonia.320p.zip and let me know.
