I think this is the PDA industry's way of telling us all to upgrade our devices. Mongrels :@

I think this is the PDA industry's way of telling us all to upgrade our devices. Mongrels :@Yea, the ****ers  ! I will let them kiss my *** meanwhile they think I'm upgrading my device because of some kind of software, because I'm not! I don't just get these dudes like pocket tunes deluxe's or documents to go's programmers who think that they can control these thinks. They should still remember "Customer is always right" sentence if they are going to stay in palm os programming. But yea, not my problem but it will be even more big problem to them because they will loose huge amount of customers. There are lots of ux50 and th55 users and there isn't that stuped 1src member who wouldn't know that.

GPS is advancing so much that instead of 12 satelites to tell location they are now using 20 satelites. There are separate gps units and a more practical cpu may be used. See this ad that I copied (very spamlike so I didn't post here):

So is it official TTM6 does not work with UX-50?
I guess if two people tried it and it does not work...
Is there a way to upgrade the maps on ttm5 without upgrading the program?
Also, can you guys tell me what power solutions you have for your GPS and UX-50 in the car. Also, what Sirf III GPS works well with UX-50? I hear BT-338 works, right? Is that Sirf III? What about i.Trek M5 - the auto on/off function sounds amazing but I am not sure if that GPS will work with the ux-50 and I am not sure if the GPS chipset is better than Sirf III.

thanks,
N

Could you please tell me where to purchase a copy of it and how to install?

Can't find the "right" version & directions for the UX. Thanks!

At least three people tried TTN6, and it didn't work (me 3), but with TTN5 you can upgrade to the newer Plus-Maps as far as Map version 632.

Does anyone know specifically what is not supported? I tried it on mine, but I get errors which require a reset? Is it something like a missing library?

I am looking for a complete Europe map instead of individual country ones as I regularly have to cross borders, but like the added detail which you don't get on principle roads, but can't be bothered to change maps three times a day on a drive.

TT6 won't work with the UX50 and you can't upgrade the maps on the TT5. I upgraded to the Treo 700p, when Verizon dropped the price, but it's not as user friendly as Clie devices. But for less than $100, I'm satisfied. However, I wouldn't want to upgrade just to get the newest software. Try Google maps for those times when the UX can't find the address.

Hello Everybody...

I don't mean to sound uninformed but I don't know much about BLUETOOTH except that a signal is required to receieve information.

Question: If I were to purchase the GlobalSat BT-338 would I need anything else besides my UX50 and the TomTom software to have navigation capabilities?

I suppose what I'm asking is: Does the GlobalSat BT-338 communicate with satellites via the built-in ceramic patch antenna?

Thanks for responding...
