Problems with BigClock

I'm setting up a Zire31 for a friend who plans to give it to his wife for Christmas... It is primarily intended to be a replacement for her old Franklin BibleReader. I've installed Olivetree and have it working great.

Now the problem... I'm trying to put BigClock on there just to give her a very simple alarm/timer program if she chooses to use it... but it isn't working....

I can set an alarm, but when it is supposed to popup it gives the following error:

"An error occurred in the application you are using. Note the error code and contact the developer of this application (SYS 0505) (0, 841)"

I'm using version 2.83c. I tried it on my TX and got the same error.

Anyone know why or how to get it to work?

Is this just a problem with the latest versions of OS5? Zire31 uses 5.2.8 and TX 5.4.9.....

My suggestion is to install WatchMaker instead of BigClock. I haven't had much luck with BigClock and OS5. Plus, WatchMaker has more intuitive timers and alarms :)

I second the recommendation to look at WatchMaker. I haven't missed BigClock since I found it about a year ago.

unfortunately WatchMaker does not seem to work on 160x160 which is what the Zire31 has......

Well, it's not a clock, but the best timer/stopwatch I've found is TikTok, and it does work at 160x160. Freeware at the usual sites. Not useful for general alarms, however.

I have BigClock installed on a T3 (OS 5.2.1) with no problems... alarms work fine. Maybe you have a conflict with some other program?
