ok i can control all my stuff at home (to an extent) but i wanna control the tvs at school, they're all zenith. but i want to control them so i can hold up what i said to daniel (i can magically turn the tv's on without stealing a remote)

right now the way we change the channels and turn the tvs off during the movies in class, is that we have to get the teachers site off the remotes and take one. but then the first time it turns off the dudes busted, but if i do it i'll look completely innocent, first cause i've never been caught with a remote, second cause i'm the student that the teacher is undecided about sending to detention or giving extra credit to

i love controling the tvs everywhere else (i haven't seen a zenith tv outside of school since '96 with my grandmother) i want to have fun with the tvs at school where it counts. cause thats where all my friends are.

and in 2nd block that teacher can't keep track of the remotes, he always has to go around his desk and step on stuff to reach the tv, i wanna just help him out so we can finally not spend 20 minutes turning the tv on to see him work on "calculus in motion" (love that program, we get to see in 3d what he shows us on the chalkboard) of couse yall people in college probably already do this stuff.

if you thought not to help me cause i'm mischevious in the first one, well i'm just helping my favorite math teacher out, and you can't deny that can ya?

There is a user group in Yahoo that is very good in helping people. I can't remember the name. I think it might be RMCEnhancers, but not quite sure. Try doing a yahoo groups search.

I would be careful when doing that. Pulling a stunt likethat is likely to get your Clie confuscated, same as this kid: http://www.wired.com/news/school/0,1383,45863-2,00.html
Something similar happened to a friend of mine in high school with his Visor Deluxe. Luckily for him (and myself because I had a Visor Platinum at the time), the school didn't react so harshly as what happened in the above article.

It's one thing to have a remote taken from you that wasn't yours in the first place, its another to have you own personal device taken away. Personally, I don't think it is worth the risk. I would just continue working on your deception skills for taking the TV's remote.

ok for all you people who know its "mischevious" i guess i left out one detail, the teachers are cool about it, and "educational" devices can't be taken up, at least mine can't because i have disorganizational skills, so none of my techno crap can be taken away, ever, i love that. but just so you know we don't take it overboard and make the teacher go crazy cause then the class doesn't like it.

haha i do that to, the key is to tell one person, who is your firend, couse then when you teacher cant find out what is wrong with the tv, they(your friend) move in "fix" the tv. it is a great gag.

What is this exactly? (disorganizational skills) Never heard of it before. It gives you special privileges?

You don't sound like you have any organizing problems here ;) Nothing sounds disorganized about the scheme you're cooking up here.

there has been a remote-control-application recently advertised (ppc and palm-os) which is able to learn remote-frequentcies from other remote-controls (search at palmgear) maybe this helps you out.

With ClieRMC I can control all of my A/V equipment in my bedroom's entertainment center except for my Stereo Receiver made by Soundesign.

What you REALY want to do is have your friend use the "power of his mind" to channels. Another is to screw with the volume. Fun with remotes. Yay.

I did this once to screw with a student that was trying to setup a movie for us (FORREST GUMP! THRRRILLER!). Since the kid is a dick and not a lot of people like him, I turned off the tv while we was turning on the VCR. He looked puzzled, turned it back on went back at the VCR. I repeated this process twice until he looked around to see me and a bunch of us laughing. Yes, I am a horrible person, but it was good entertainment courtesy of my NX. All my schools have Hitachi TVs and Sony VCRs. I'm able to control both, so when my teacher asked to rewind the tape, I just tap away.

The HARD thing is that most TVs have their IR recievers covered up by another IR transmitter that is hooked up to the video showing system that we have at the school (A feed is transferred to all the classrooms that recieve it and show it on the TV). In anycase, the joke's over, and I don't use it for that anymore, but it was worth a laugh. Another reason I think an NX is worth it's weight in pure sex.
