NOTE
Hi
On an old, old palm I had an app called My Palm (v1.2 by Scott Dreslinski) which listed all the application from the PDA in a Memo file however the program doesn't work on my TX or Z22.

Does anyone know of a similar application, ideally I'm looking for something that will list all files on PDA and also the size of them.

regards

If you are just looking for a list and size on TX, why not use FileZ? You can view all files on internal memory by tapping on the arrow. If you tap on the icon to the left of Creator you can select files by size for viewing. You can also Send Tree to Memo, under Options.

I use TrackerDog (freeware), it allows to export your list of apps to a memo. It does not add the size though ...
FileZ has the problem it also lists all databases, which is just too much on my device.

Launcher List works well on my TX to do what you describe. It puts a list of all applications into a memo.

I also use LauncherList. Although it says it exports to a text file that really doesn't work (I've been unable to locate the supposedly exported textfile anywhere on my TX). If you use CardTxt (also a free app), you can import the memo file listing the apps and then export it as a text file.

Resco Explorer can export list to txt/memo, with size, I believe...

YES it can! Learn something new everyday. I guess I should have read the manual.

You'll find it in the root directory of your SD card. (It took me a bit of time to track it down, but I knew it was somewhere - it shows up in Documents to Go.)

I've just tried to find this application via Google so I could add a link to my last post, but it looks like the developer's site is down.

That what it says it does, but you are the first person I know of who has actually found such a file. We had an extensive discussion in a thread about this app, and noone coould find the txt file. I still can't. I looked in the card root, in the palm dir, and in the launcher dir.

Edit: Here is a screenshot showing where it is on my TX:

Weird. I searched my unit with a number of apps including D2G for TXT files and none found the launcherlist file. Resco Explorer can't find it either. I must admit though that the RE solution is much better than LL, except the Re list always includes ROM files. It is nice that it can be automatically alphabetized, and has the size to boot. :)

Is it possible that you are thinking that it automatically sends the file when you open the application? I need to tap the menu option for either "to Memo Pad" or "as TXT" to have it record either way. If I load it up and wait for the list to appear and then just exit, nothing gets recorded.

I realize that's a pretty elementary question, but I'm grasping at straws here.

BTW, when I select "as TXT," I get a dialog telling me "A LauncherList Text File already exists. Do you want to overwrite it?" whether the file is already there or not.

I do do the "as TXT" export, although, IIRC, it took a few tries to figure that out. The export as memo works fine.

Now, that IS interesting! I get zip, nada! I've never gotten any dialog when exporting to TXT.
