I have just made the big switch... but drive mode in my LD has been givin me headaches...

It takes forever to eject my volumes... if at all... coz i just turn it off anyway because i couldnt wait too long (i wait for as long as 15 mins wait but it still doesnt eject)... something i know is bad...

Is anyone else having issues with the Drive Mode in Mac? Is it my LD thats the problem? I am frustrated because i just gave up a very usefull app in Lifedrive Manager by switching to Mac, in the hopes that I could use Drive Mode to somehow make up for its loss... but this problem comes up.

Please help :(

This is a known bug in the LD, sad to say. If the LD "sleeps" then it would almost be impossible to wait for it to mount and eject.

My quick solution is to plan everything. I plan beforehand what I want to upload/download then when I mount the LD, I do just that. Once I'm done, I eject it immediately.

I hope that helps.

Also, if you use the Missing Sync app instead of Drive Mode, you shouldn't have to worry about this ;)

So if i use it quickly and eject it right away this won't happen? :)

Yes, that is right. Do what you need to do, then eject immediately once any blinking orange light is gone. If you let the LD sit too long with no activity, ejecting becomes non operational. HTH.
