It depends on your knowledge of palm apps. the easiest way is to delete apps using the palm launcher: tap on the title bar, tap delete, choose an app to delete and tap okay. I highly suggest Uninstall Manager. This app will monitor apps as they are installed (assuming you install apps via hotsync) and then give you the opportunity to run them in a sandbox to make sure they are okay. Later on you can go back and delete everything associated with the app in the tap of a button. If you purchase this app with CleanUp (also known as the NeatFreak Pack), you'll have further abilities. CleanUp will help you cleanup apps that have already been installed.
Some apps, like system hacks and extensions need special attention when deleting. You simply need to set the recycle bit using an app like the free FileZ, then reset your device and the app will erase itself.

If I understand right, you want to clean up you Tx from some software that came with it. But some programs you cannot delete.
The basic applications (calendar, contacs etc.) are in ROM, and can only be deleted with special software. I wouldn't recommend doing this if you're not 100% sure what you are doing, because it might kill your palm and void your warranty.
As described in one of the above comments, to delete an application, go to the applications screen. Tap on the blue square with the clock on the top of your sceen. Select delete from the drop down menu that pops up. Now select the application you want to get rid of and tap the delete button.
I "hide" applications I don't use by putting them in a seperate category so I don't see them.
Hope this helps!

There are a number of threads about apps that a musts. Look around for them. That said you should immediately install uninstall manager and NVBackup (free). Also when you get going you are going to need UnCache by dmitry grinberg (www.palmpowerups.com). I also suggest Dmitry's brightnessfix.tx (it removes the lower limit you can set your brightness to, so saves power). I personally love 2PlayMe, for scheduling events/app launches, alarms, etc. Others rave equally about Palmary Clock for the same purposes. If you have a decent sized card you are going to want either CardReader, or CardExport II, I have both and reccommend the former. A file manager is a necessity also, I highly recommend Resco Explorer. You can do just about everything you need with FileZ (free), but RE has a very nice interface and is easy to use. It also has a notifications report that will come in very handy when you are trying to determine what to put in your UnCache list.
There are tons more apps you should get, but remember to put one app on at a time and test it out to make sure your device doesn't become unstable. I use Stability Test (free) to test my TX after every install.

Great list, cyberdude!
I second the recommendations for NVBackup, CardReader and FileZ.
