I noticed that some of you were wondering if the Edge 512MB CF card ($79.00 after rebate) would work. I just received mine today from PC Connection and installed it. Applications run from it in LauncherX and music plays from it. Video clips seem to fail so far. I see the entry in the MoviePlayer application but without the thumbnail. When selected, my NX stalls and needs a soft reset. Don't know if this is due to slow read speeds of the card or the the driver\card combination. Perhaps after some further reading I will find the answer. I do recall someone mentioning that the SanDisk 512 CF card experienced poor video response as well.

That's OK though seeing that I only purchased this card for MP3 listening. My videos can live on my 128MB MS.

The movie thumbnails are stored in the palm programs movieplayer folder with a .mai file extension.

Some have experienced freezing of movie playback, most notibly when trying to advance the slider. It is also one of the known issues in the known issues readme.

I have the same problem with my 1Gb Sandisk. Immediate freeze when a video is selected. The strange thing is that it doesn't happen on every video. Just Most of them. Some of my videos play perfectly others freeze immediatly (without trying to move the slide bar) and i used the exact same process to encode all of them...wierd
