HELP!!! Delete Protected REad only files.

Ive installed an application and now its giving me problems. Everytime i open AcidImage, it closes itself n goes back to e main menu. Anyone knows of how i can delete this protected read only file(the one with e little lock symbol when u look it up in 'CLIE Files'). I've read up other threads reguarding this topic of "protected files", and i tried e warm reset method but it just doesn't help neither does e programes it recommends(thought Ive yet to try Jacksprat cos i dun hv e application) Pls if theres any way u know of to del the protected read only files... pls pls pls let me know thanx. I really need help on this. thanx a mill guys

Usually they are protected for a reason. I deleted one and I got the Ice-rod, do a search of you don't know what it is. The best thing to do is to do a backup using MSbackup go to the backup folder on the MS and delete the offending file then restore.
