When I set BackupBuddy to backup the items I have in Flash, I get a fatal reset every time. I'm using JackFlash. Are these two things incompatible? Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks!

I tried to do it without JackFlash and it crashes also, when trying to backup flash.

Do you guys know that BBVFS isn't OS5 ready?
Try BackupMan. No problems in or out of flash;)

I didn't know BBVFS wasn't OS5 ready! I have it installed on my Clie, and it's making scheduled backups to my memory stick every day. I don't think I've tried a restore yet, though. What would it do? How is it not compatible? Maybe I will try BackupMan.
Anyway, the program that's crashing isn't BBVFS, but the original BackupBuddy, the one on my computer. Although, hmm, it is the Clie that's resetting. Okay, which program would that be then? I'm talking about a crash during HotSync, when I'm using regular BackupBuddy. Okay, I'm confused now. Any takers???

I use to use bb on os4, then switched because of problems with os5 though there are many having success with the combo. Sinc you crash during sync, I wonder if you can't have it set to back up rom/flash and/or the ms, but only ram on os5. I'd tried different combinations. I'm certain you can't back up ms yet. Maybe you can't back up the rom as well. Just a thought. Good Luck!

Using BB (not bbvfs) on the desktop, I had to de-select the backup rom and external memory options (if memory serves me right - I'm at work, and I've been using my Linux setup at home lately, so I'm not sure of the exact settings). I have gotten it to work, though.
