My dad always told me when I was younger that Sprint was unreliable and customer service was terrible. Being that Sprint joined with Nextel and many years had passed, I thought little of my dad's warning.

I would come to find out that in November~December 2006. He was correct. I had never been a Sprint customer ever and I decided to join Sprint in Novemeber. I ordered a Moto Razr V3m. I completed the order early November and was waiting patiently for the phone. One week passed, nothing to it. Two weeks passed, I was a little worried. The week before Thanksgiving came and I called Sprint, they told me it was in the shipping process and could not be cancelled. I told them to cancel my account and service. They told me the phone would still reach me. I told them I would send it back unopened. Once I left for Thanksgiving break, I came back expecting the see the phone... NO PHONE. I called Sprint but was holding for like 1 hour. So I hung up. Today, I called back having gotten some free time and they told me that their was a mistake with my order. They ordered a Motorola KRZR instead of a Razr and that the phone was just sitting at Sprint. The guy gave me a new order number and another department which is closed at the moment to call. I AM PISSED!!! I WILL NEVER BUY SPRINT AGAIN!! I am so mad, I don't even care about EVDO. I am going to get another T-Mobile phone to replace my T610. This is ridiculous. Too much crap. I will settle with EDGE. I don't care, its faster than GPRS.

Wow, that sucks. I've always had a great experience with Sprint... from buying a phone (they set it up very quickly) and switching phones (they also set up the new ones very quickly, and were very helpful). I don't know what happened with you... :(

That does suck. :(

T-Mobile has been great for me. I had Verizon previously, and Pac Bell before that, and they were awfull providers overall.

I read some place that T-Mobile is setting up 3G here in the states, so back east would definately get it first.

Sprint has no service at all in my town at all so I wouldn't be able to use it anyway. lol

Think it all comes down to first person interaction. If I can't buy it in a store, I won't buy it. You're much less likely to have something screwed up in person, and if it does get screwed up, you can usually fix it on the spot.

I'm switching from Qwest to Sprint in March, to get a Treo 700p, but I'm doing it in a Sprint store. Not over the phone..

Good luck. Watch them order you a 700wx display model.

I wouldn't leave the store with that load of junk. ;) The store I was at, had the 700p in stock too, so I won't be leaving without a phone in hand. :D

I went to a Verizon store once. As soon as I came in some salesmans was already pushing me into buying something. The place was crowded too. Then the guy started making up stuff as he went along since no one else in the store knew the answers to my questions. He was like "you can get this phone" but I just go and say "but that doesn't do what I want!" I left after 5 minutes. Back to Cingular!

I think T-Mobile is my company. While I have experienced some bumps with them, at least when they are signing up new customers, they don't make the customer want to cancel their service. I cancelled Sprint in like 2~3 weeks and I didn't even see the phone or try the service. That's sad.

I'm with Sprint now and haven't had any problems with them. Their data plans are the cheapest out of the major US providers. I'm on a SERO plan so I get free, unlimited EVDO service and free, unlimited SMS with my plan all for ~$38 a month.

I had been a long time POS user and had the 700P, but found it to be buggy and slow. I switched to the 700WX and haven't had any troubles with it. StyleTap works very nicely so I still get to use most of my Palm apps. if I want to.

T-Mobile is $5 for Web access via phone. What's a SERO plan??

BTW I have to wait until 45 days after Jan 2, 2007 to get my money back. Talk about quality service. I was told this after like 1~2 hours of holding.

Got and returned my Samsung T629 in less than a week. It was really that bad. Wow, its amazing how great my T610 is. Its so compatible. It may screech in my ear once in a while but its hardcore. T-Mobile truly is my favorite phone company. I mean the people at least sound really nice and joke around with you while your talking to them. Especially the return process is easy. No AOhelL-like reps. Returned my T629 today and hope to get a new phone. Won't tell you what I want until I get it if I get it.
