View Full Version : CF card and Bluetooth Stick usable at the same time?
Does anyone know whether it's possible to have say, MP3s playing on the CF card, whilst conneting to another device via the Bluetooth Stick inserted in the memory stick slot?
Or does the MS slot become disabled when there's a CF card in operation?
Thanks

I believe with the MS masquerading see both cards trick it is possible, but with MP3's playing in the background off the CF card the system response is quite choppy and slow it is not yet as efficient as playing in the background off the MS.
Thanks for the reply Alistar (choppy sound sucks!), but has anyone actually tried it and can confirm?
I should add, the reason I'm asking is that I own an NR70 and would consider upgrading to an NX because of this development!

Actually the MP3 play is stable, it is just everything else that runs slow and choppy, heck the VG pen ink gets a delay in it when I am playing MP3's off the CF card. The MP3's themselves play fine. Had it going for about 2 hours and I don't remember a skip or stutter in the music.

I've got both sort of working together. You have to follow the trick outlined in the other thread to get the MS slot working with masquerading. Basically you disable bluetooth, turn on masquerading and automount the cf card and then reenable bluetooth. This works for most apps including Movieplayer but Audioplayer, Voice Recorder, Movie Recorder will NOT recognize the CF with this configuration. Unfortunately even with masquerading most of the Sony apps still see an I/O memory stick. I haven't been able to play an mp3 at all with the BT MS installed even if BT isn't in use.
