Wow, this is brilliant.
I am a long time Hi-Launcher devotee,but I can sense the power of this app. Just being able to open the list of categories in memos and contacts from the popup, is remniscent of Megawiki's Piki, but also going another level to the categories themselves to pick a contact or memo is very nice.

The possibilities of configuration of this app are amazing.

I just hope I have not missed a Hi-Launcher update that does all this :o

Hmm, I own zlauncher, and since I'm fine with the Quicklaunch feature which is essentially the same thing, and since this is going to cost me more money...

ive tried so far... it has some bugs with the hard button selection... i selected the 5-way nav selector with long press, but it disables the ability to select the rest with it, so the "long press" wasnt really helping... so i selected another HB, but then it started to launch the menu every time i pressed a 5-way nav key :(

as bluefish pointed out, this app has its "power" ;) ill be waiting for the final release :D

Its totally different, this is actually an incredible app!! Its completely customizable.

I can say good bye to Hi-launcher, Keyguardtime, it can dial from my contacts, launch my favorite websites, look at memos on-the-fly all from within any app!

Yeah there is the theme maker that comes with it, although I only installed it, and have no idea how to use it. :rolleyes:

wow :confused: thats sad, you are missing such a good app! well its still a beta release... so maybe thats why, i also had couple of warm resets, but its cuz i was trying my skins... here is the preview by the way ;)

There are some ZLauncher features I won't miss.
Is ist possible to move apps to card?
Can you start apps that were moved to card by ZLauncher?
Did anyone try I it conjunction with ZLink?
I wouldn't like to have ZLauncher and this new app in RAM together (-> greater than 1mb).

hey BuRnN,

i think ive found the bug of ur hard resets... yes, i had a couple. If you were creating your own menu, then i gess we have the same problem. Still, u said you couldnt call the menu, it went to a reset loop (i guess) and then to hard resets.

Anyways, i also had troubles with my menus :(. I remember that i installed my skin, and selected my custom menu. But i noticed twice that it didnt survive a soft reset. i saw, after a warm reset, with resco explorer that the new custom menu created a database called "where" with a creators name of "d3/4" (the 3/4 was one character) and size of ~65000k. i couldnt delete it beacause a "NoSuchFile", error thus needing a HD.

very rare... ill be using hi-launcher till the final release comes out...

Sorry I haven't yet weighed in until now. I had some problems with resets at first use. The resets occured while in Fontsmoother attempting to make changes. Resets would occur when trying to change a font or disable its use. At first I thought I might have had a corrupt font file and attempted to delete the font, which would itself immediately reset the TX. I deleted what I thought was the offending font and continued to get a couple of resets when trying to switch fonts. However, since these resets on the first day I used the program, its been fine since. I've tried to reproduce the problem that may have triggered the resets, but have been unable.

Since then I have been playing around with various fonts and sizes. I had expected a some slowdown in performance with fontsmoother enabled but have been pleasantly surprised instead. In snappermail, my impression is that scrolling through long messages has even been speeded up! Very nice.

it been a mistake in righting its not a hard reset is a soft reset but after a hard reset everything works exept if force16 is not enable launcher anyware look like s...

I downloaded it Friday and have set up a pretty nice setup. I played a bit with changing the theme a bit, but I have been very impressed so far. I especially like how I can add phone numbers to a menu. I have mainly had resets only when trying to make a new profile and also when I make many changes with w/o saving often.

This program follows many of ZL's program layouts and UI for setting up. Some people may find it to be to much work to setup, but I personally feel comfortable using it and like the flexibility. I have a few changes I am recommending to ZL such as the being able to see phone numbers in the phone book (right now you have to type them in individually, no link option) and being able to reorder the application menu when pulling the list from ZLauncher.

I am pretty excited about this program and it may replace ZL on my 650 if I want to reduce my memory size for other things that don't run well off my SD Card.

im sorry,

the bug i found was something with nvbackup... somehow i couldnt use resco explorers ability to install or paste something directly to the RAM, also backups...

i just thought of going back from the TX2 ROM to the normal one. and i did returned and now my TX is back on track... Since i dont have the custom rom, i wont need nvbackup anymore. So the bug was something with my deivce.

Im using my menu and skin and its working perfectly! :D

I tried this app for a bit, but I just can't seem to find enough value-add over ZL QuickLaunch+ to keep it. I strive for simplicity and non-duplicity and LaunchAnywhere is just QuickLaunch+ with more GUI! ;)

I am getting an error when I try to compile my skin. It freezes at "system (cmd.c_str()):" and gives "Compile Error: 0x3"

Any suggestions?

So tonight I tried to check my Voicemail. When I went to play a message, my treo acted as if the button to play the message was stuck (#1) and the tone was held. Hitting it repeatedly (lightly of course) did nothing.. I hit the "end" button and the call hung up and the tone ended. I tried a few other things and finally tried deleting Launch Anywhere after making a backup. The problem ceaced. I reloaded my back up and the problem was back. Anyone else have this issue?

I am guessing it is only meant for the prc. and plugins.
