Just dropping a note to say thanks for the input and fun (going back to Clie Source days!).

I got a HP Jornada 720 because my beloved NX80 was slowly and steadily dying.

I'm enjoying my new machine and would recommend it to the curious!

Carry on, everyone

Does it's camera still work? Because my nx80v ccd chip kinda died. If its posible to buy/trade it I'll be glad.

Sorry - -the camera was the 1st thing to go. And if you try to use any audio or video functions, it goes to hard reset!! It really only functions as a zero-feature Palm device.

Good luck with your Pocket PC...
(and if you don't like it, you can always find a like new NX on ebay... ;))

Polite correction, it is a handheld pc. :p But if you want a really good place to go to it is hpcfactor.com One of the best for the Handheld PC world. You will learn a lot about it. I had a Jornada 720 also and was very pleased with it but I needed something to carry around with me everywhere and that just wasn't feasible with that device. So I got me NX70V. It does me very well.

Bon Voyage and good luck!

I wonder how long the Sony Forum collection will keep on going as all the Clie's in the world slowly die. :(

I feel your pain. My NX-80v gave up it's camera feature a year ago. I have missed it on occasion. However the saddnes loss is that I now get a math error when I try to run "Text Twist". I was addicted to that gave.

My clie now is an ereader for books and address book with a calculator.

I see a dell in my future but will miss my sony---just can't get completely rid of it now.

The hp 720 is a great machine. I have an old 660 that I occasionally use for recreation.

The wife is now enjoying the NX80 - she only wants a calendar and Euchre anyway. The screen is still beautiful and I mapped the capture button as power so the switch won't break, and the Clie Camera program won't accidentally run and generate a fatal error.

It will be interesting to see how long it lives . . .
