Not that I expect to have the cash anytime soon, but I was wondering what the size limit was. What format does Palm OS expansion use? Since it's readable in a flash card reader I assume it's some kind of FAT, but FAT16 or FAT32? If it's FAT16, then there will be a 2 GB/partition limit but can the CLie recognize 2 paritions if you get a 4 GB card and partition it into 2 2GB partitions? If it's FAT32 then we're safe for a while since FAT32's capacity is far greater than any CF card currently available.

People have posted about using FAT32 on their larger cards and FAT for the smaller cards. So I'm sure the PALM OS is capable of reading FAT32?

I tried once formatting a CF in FAT32 (512 Mo), CF Utility didn't recognize it...
In fact I encountered a bug, it told me that there was a problem with the CF, and if I wanted to format it, I told Yes (for fun) and then it told me that the CF was "mounted"... In fact it wasn't true...
In this case, Soft Reset :)
