Yahoo Mail via Web

I'm contemplating about buying a UX-50, mainly for checking email, but I want to know if I can check my Yahoo email by going straight to Yahoo.com and then clicking on Mail. I also want to be able to reply/compose new messages/ etc. Will I need to any updates or anything like that?


I did do a search, but most of the posts talk about Snappermail or Agendusmail.

When we are talking about ux50 build-in web browser Netfront, ux50 can't handle some of the sites log tables very well so for example Hotmails log in page doesn't work. However Yahoo does work but it doesn't look so good as doesn't Gmail. Anyway mobile sites look and are quite fast and they work usually always. Though they don't have special functions. If you don't like idea of using Yahoo mobile site Yahoo site does luckily work with Netfront so you don't need to log through mobile site.

Anyway best would be moving from Yahoo to Gmail. Gmail gives free pop and smtp address so you don't need to buy them as separate from Yahoo. Then just use download Snappermail. It is best combination. I highly recommend it. And about the updates. It is recommend to check Sony site for updates when you have bought ux50. I don't have information what updates are avaivable or are there any even.

If you want more information about web browsers or email software please search for my threads about them. I have done thread about Email apps, Web browsers, Movie players and IM softwares for palm os. Threads are big, clear and have a big list of apps (except in Movie players thread) so you can't miss them.

I use Yahoo Mobile on my VZ90 and TG50 (both running Netfront). The mobile page is http://wap.oa.yahoo.com/

OK, thanks, yea I just wanted to know if one can go straight to Yahoo.com and check your mail from there. I did go to that Yahoo Mobile and it didn't look that good, hopefully the regular version of Yahoo Mail will look good on a UX-50 (?). I did hear about snappermail, but I don't know if it will display EXACTLY like on regular YM, and it costs money.

My main question was (simple yes or no, or maybe but with add-ons): Can I check my Yahoo Mail by using Netfront 3.0, and then going to Yahoo.com, then Mail, and my email will look the same as in my PC.

I tried before also to check my mail (yahoo) via UX50 .But it was not successfully. After this I have read something, "I need to pay extra for yahoo. when I want to check my yahoo". Because I always got an Errormessage "Password is wrong" or somethig like this.

Unfortunately I have forgotten from where I read it.

but anyway. If you find some reason. let me know.

You can try http://mobile.palm.com./us/ on your UX. Its low graphics site for checking GMail, Hotmail and Yahoo mail among other things. Very quick and easy to use.

You can go to the regular Yahoo! email page, but it will load slow...Depends if you have usual 1kb-5kb modem or not :D Just kidding...
