Hi all,
I have somes questions about Clie hardware (TG50, NX70 and NZ90).
Where will I be able to find the technical specifications of the Clié's DSP?
Next, about the CPU itself, is this a B1, B2, C0 with 100 Mhz bus or C1 with 200 Mhz bus?
Greeting from France,

They are currently shipping with a 100Mhz bus.
I wouldn't know where to point you besides SONY's developer site for info on the DSP chip. There's a Developers forum under Cliesource that might offer some direction.

And you probably already know this, so you can call me a monkey if you do, but the Clie's you mentioned do not have an audio DSP chip.

We can read in this review (NX70V):

"For it's first OS5 device, Sony selected Intel's 200 MHz XScale PXA-250 ARM-processor paired with NeoMagic DSP for multimedia,..."
So according to Palm Infocenter, your are a

Isn't that NeoMagic DSP for the video?

Actually, I could be wrong, but after looking at this (http://www.pspilot.de/pppnx70/pppnx70.html) site and looking at the boards on the NX, I think that the NeoMagic chip is only there as the CF controller. That site mentions its there as a multimedia chip, but if you look at this (http://www.neomagic.com/product/peripherals.asp) page, it seems that the NMC1121 is only an interface between other NeoMagic SOC multimedia chips, CF interfaces and some Intel chips. But, it doesn't look like it's a multimedia chip itself.

The XScale handles all the music decoding now. =) This is why older apps that used Clie' Audio no longer had sound with the new Clie's.
I remember reading that all Clie's ship with DSP chip or something like that for opening and writing jpegs.
MediaQ makes the GA for the Clie';
