no. those videos are of some other format. I am not sure what format they are, but you must download kinoma player to play them.

there are two ways to play your own movies using the sony movie player that comes installed on your clie.
-the first way is to convert the movies to mpeg1 format, any bitrate(but lower plays smoother), any res (again, lower is smoother). u can use "tmpgenc" to encode, there are tons of tutorials out there just search. the file you create needs to be placed on the MS in the directory tree /MSSONY/MOML0001/ .
doing this makes your clie think that it's a handycam file. (also, i think you might need to rename the movies mov*****.mpg where the * are numbers (00001 for example). maybe not, i think i'm getting that confused with the second method... anyway....)
-the second way is to convert the movies to mpeg4 using the program "imageconverter" which is included on your clie program cd. just mount your MS using the MSImport program on the clie, run imageconverter and save to the MS directly. if imageconverter doesn't like the format of movie, then just convert it to something it does like (ie. mpeg1 ). in this case again, use "tmpgenc" to reencode to mpeg1 then use image converter.
advantages to mpeg1 are that you can name your files, and also that mpeg1 is very compatible. but mpeg1 compression sucks compared to mpeg4, and also mpeg4 seems run smoother on the clie. smaller file size, smoother performance, and hey, image converter makes it easy.
i hope this is informative for you
