I would like to repair the hinge part of my NX (opposite side of the capture button). Because of a drop, the hinge is very loose. I read in some other NR posts that making sure the bracket is not bent and that a screw is mounted correctly may fix the problem. Can someone give me a step by step guide on opening this part of the NX? I took off the back plate but did not want to venture any farther with out asking. Thanks for your time.

i took my nr70v apart yesterday... the hinges totally came out when i dropped mine ( the plastic that holds the scews broke:\ )
just take apart the back side which is easy
loosen up the battery cover
and take out all the screws from the while strip around the screen and inside the strip... take the screws apart from the hinges. the face covers will now be easily taken apart and come out.
i duno how to explain this but the hinge stteel should be on top of the front face and back face cover holes... i wish i could take pic..
and you should be able to retighen the hinges...
in my case... the holes totally broke off (they are made of verrry thin material! ) and so i ahd to superglue the face covers tot he hinges...
lmk if u have any questions..

whew, i'm sure glad I traded my NR70v for my TG50.
but from what I hear, fixing the NX hinge shouldnt be much different from the NR hinge. The whole process takes like maybe 15 minutes. Goodluck!

Be very glad. More and more things are screwing up on my less than a year old NR. It has never been dropped and taken care of like a priceless jewel.
If it was a car, it would have been recalled.

Does this mean I have to take the whole screen apart just to get to the hinge part that is wobbley? it seems like the screen part of the NX isnt really connected to the hinge housing part (where sony logo is) except for the swivel. Thanks.
