I recently bought a Fellowes Stowaway Xt keyboard 90188. On trying to use the keyboard I get the following message " There is currently no support for an attached keyboard for this PDA". However checking Stowaway's support sit it says that the CLIE TJ 25 is supported. Does anyone know of a workaround for this problem? Many thanks.

Did you install the drivers?

Thats the first thing I did. I'm not sure which is the best driver to install though. Since the bundled Fellowes driver won't work.

I solved it. It was a case of performing a hard reset and then installing the 2.1.6T driver from the thinkoutside driver archive. I would recommend this keyboard. Its quality!

Ah the hard reset. So you did a backup onto the memory stick? Are you going to slowly put back some of the programs to see what program was interfering with the driver for the keyboard?
Almost on another subject is this the first keyboard you ever used? How much data are you typing? More than a page? So far I stick to memos but hey what programs are you imputing that needs a keyboard? I mostly cut and paste news articles from my plucker news or avantgo.

I use a keyboard because I got tired of carrying my Thinkpad laptop around. I use it to write up my research.
I don't know if there was a program conflict, I initially thought it might be my wifi memory stick but it wasn't.
I noted that to get the keyboard to run smoothly on needs to go into to the Infrared keyboard configuration on the keyboard menu and check both options. I think this fools the CLIE into the seeing the connected keyboard as an infrared one. Don't know if this workaround will solve the probs with this driver and the TJ 27/37.

So dragonsgame with an ir keyboard were you able to use it on all the devices you have with the same driver or did you have to use different versions of the driver?
I wonder how many pages can you fit on one memo? I think there can be about 20 to fifty lines tops in some devices. I may experiment but not right now. Everyone have a great Thanksgiving holiday!

Has anyone noticed that when using the Stowaway XT (connected) on the TJ25, that after a brief pause in typing you have to hit a key to wake it up before you can see typing again? I was typing away into my spreadsheet (DocsToGo) and paused a moment to ponder, typed again and it missed me hitting the shift key (or any other first stroke following a brief pause) before carrying on. It's like it's kicking in to a power save mode for a battery powered keyboard (like IR).
