So both my wife and I are perfect customers for the new 680 and I've been holding out on the sexy Moto Q until I get a chance to drive the 680. The last press release I heard was aiming for Nov. 5th. The 5th came and went... zzzzzzz. So where's my 680???

I dunno man, but I think a lot of users are sharing the same thoughts // feelings, myself included. My T650 is amazing, but aged.

150,000 of them have been recalled, because of defective wiring. That could explain it!

That recall is a rumor.

Just got an email from Palm (I live in the UK). I can now pre-order the 680 and get it two weeks before anyone else - but it doesn't say when that will be! Though I suppose it's at least two weeks away! Also, the price is £329.00. In dollars, that's around $595 - I thought this was meant to be a low-cost Treo?

In Belgium Treo680 is listed for sale.
Now here comes the joke:
Treo 650: 599 EUR
Treo 680: 499 EUR
They will surely KILL Treo 650 sales like that.
in germany the 680 is listed for 449€ to 499€ on resellers sites. Expected for CW49.... well, and of course only the greycolored one :-/

Just bought a new Treo 650 in Hong Kong for €300.00. Special color model. No 680 yet, but rumored to sell at about €500.00 :(

I think that's the idea. It is a few years old after all.

I think it probably has to do RoHS compliance (http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2006/07/03/treo-650-succumbs-to-rohs-european-shipments-done/) and reduction of available product because of discontinuing shipment of the 650 to the EU.

True, but this only means they are not allowed anymore to ship to Europe.
Anything that is left in stock still needs to be sold.
Oh well, maybe an opportunity to get a Treo 650 rather cheap for use next to my T3 ;)
