Maybe it sounds crazy to some of you but I decided to give Netfront a second chance.....:)

However, when I tried to install the .prc again, the Netfront icon won't show up.... (I did reset the machine)

Anyone had any ideas?

(Maybe it's because of memory but I already have 4M left before I installed.... I want to see if there are any other know causes before I cleaned up all my apps to make more room...)

11Mb is a Pain in the A**!!!!

Thanks,
Ray

It says you need 6MB free to install it, but users (me included) report that in real life you actually need about 8MB free!

I went for iSilo in the end - I don't need to view html in it's native format so conversion doesn't bug me too much.

Hope this helped

Thanks for all the advice.... I backup my NX, did a hard reset, installed the browser, and then restored my files....

I can understand why people hate NetFront because I hated it too. However, after I tried out some of the other ones like WebPro, PocketLink, and Blazer, I think NetFront still displays the best on most web sites. Yes, it has a lot of rough edges, but so did the other ones....

The thing is, you can use NetFront to display Optimized Web Sites without any problems just like the other ones. However, NetFront can also display about 50% regular web sites which none of the other browsers could do or do it at a level compared to NetFront. So, I decided to reinstalled it and have WebPro on my MS as a backup.

Does anyone have Brian's list of Optimized Web Site? Used to here before the big crash. Can someone repost, please?

Thanks!
Ray

I am so frustrated in Netfront...so I tried Webpro V.

It works fine now, only 800Kb, the only disadvantage is that the program is for TT, so you don't get the full screen.

But it is faster and more stable.

At least ,I don't get the annoying popups...
