Ok I've got the CF Driver and have ordered a 512Mb Sandisk CF (comes Tomorrow), but I keep seeing people say that it does not support 'multiple volumes' in MS Audio etc.

Will somebody explain what they mean by Multiple Volumes?

Cheers

You cannot simply have the MS & CF installed.

THe driver masquerades the CF as the primary MS... then most of the CLIE apps recognize the CF (audioplayer, etc.)

In this manner the MS is no longer accessible; THEN again, someone seems to have come up with a *trick* to have both the CF in masquerade mode and the MS viewable (tho the MS PRO patchmust be installed for this to work)

Each card is a volume another PC term, it's also known as a disk drive.

Multiple means more than one.

It's not the driver, but some applications that are NOT aware. Mostly Sony's built-in ones, some don't see more than one card, but there is a way to fool it.

It's been discovered that there is a way around it, did you look at the beta email Amir had sent out? Additionally, the MS Pro patch isn't needed.

This could be fantastic news :)!

Where is the "beta email" you mentioned? I would like to know how to use both CF & MS at once when CF is in Masquerading mode.

Here is the TIP (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11821)

The beta mail... well that was for a few lucky enough to have tested the CF driver... *sorry* no link provided ;)
