I missed out on the 16.99 sale, and just now checked the price of WL100 cards on Ebay. They are going for dirt cheap! This has me confused. I expected price erosion, but not this quickly.

What is up with this? Is the new card going to do something to make the old card garbage?

As far as I can tell, the $50.00 rebate applies to both models.

In the immortal though process of the Clash - Should I buy or should I wait?

If I got my own WiFi setup, and can tweak it any way I want, I wonder what I would gain if the WL110 has more features?

I cant find any technical details on the WL110 anyplace. Point me to a page, and I'll use my Super-RF knowledge power to figure it out.

I have two superpowers. That mentioned above, and the power to forget. I've always said that when I forget, I forget for good.

sony is coming out with their wl110 lan card. Basically its their own make, not a rebranded intel one. Buy the 100 if you can for a cheap price.

The reason it's so cheap is because I paid $150 for mine last fall...

I understand it was a colossal error by BB in pricing.

I managed to get in under the rebate offer, and I plan on using the $50 I get back to put towards a hard drive based MP3 player (like the iPod, Nomad Jukebox 3, Nomad Jukebox Zen, etc...). Any suggestions for a 20GB Hard Drive MP3 player under $450 through retail?

if you're set on getting an mp3 player only, get an Ipod for sure. Or you can get the Archos multimedia jukebox. It'll play Mp3's just as well as any other hdd mp3 player (I have one of the first models, that's only an mp3 player and it's great) but this new model also plays videos and displays pictures ,but if you got a clie you can do this anyways, however, 20 gigs is a lot more movie storage, and since it's comparable to any other hdd mp3 in price, why not get the most bang for your buck? BTW it's not that much bigger than an Ipod really, especially for all the stuff it does.

Can someone please tell me if the rebate is still available? They are cheap on eBay but I want to know if the rebate is still on? (links would be great!)

Also, I have the NR70, but I notice the WL100 works on CF. Will I (a) able to use it at all? and (b) have to buy a CF/MS adapter to do so?

p.s. If you like the WL110, it's on SonyStyle:

D'oh! I guess it's time for an upgrade. Again.
