Hello

Is there anyway or any application, hack etc that make memorystick recognized as a drive on Win XP automatically ( I mean without pressing the Memorystick button at VG area and pressing PC Link ) ?

Answers or ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks

You need to:
1. Turn on your TH55.
2. Tap on the MS icon in your TH55 status bar to launch the Media Info page.
3. Tap on PCLink button to launch Data Import
4. Tap on Connect button

Then the MS removable drive will appear on the XP monitor.

Right, it won't do it automatically like a flash drive does. Sorry, there is no completely automated solution, but a few taps shouldn't hurt too badly. ;)

You need to:

4. Tap on Connect button

Then the MS removable drive will appear on the XP monitor.Actually, the nice thing about doing it that way is that Step 4 isn't necessary. It auto-connects.

The scsi driver which was talked about in the other forum made it possible to connect to a WinXP computer without installing additional drivers. I don't think WinME has the driver, so it doesn't help.

Another option instead of tapping is something I used to do.

In CodeDiver, assign a macro to tap a specific point on the screen (the connect button) each time you start Data Import. Then you simply assign DataImport to a hard button (I had assigned it to a hold and press button using QLaunch) to do it in one easy press of that button.

I think this is what you are asking. I hated the fact that you had to tap the screen (pull out the stylus or use my finger ) to start Data Import. However, because CodeDiver slows the TH55 a bit, I decided to just use the main way.

Well I think that the tapping isn't big deal because you can always to that without a pen if you have a some kind of screen protector. So more it takes nerve to pull up the th55's "glass" from top of the th55 and tap =D... btw... remove the th55's glass protector and think a second........you may find your th55 a bit smaller =)... I would love to remove forever it but the screen is more important than th55's size...
