Hi there,
Any recommendations on applications that i can use to lock the keys?
When i close my case, any movements would cause the keys to be on.

Try PowerOn or EasyLock. You can find both of these apps on www.palmgear.com
Good luck

does your device have a hold button, that might do the trick. Brian

Based on a recommendation in another forum, I installed a nifty free application called KeepSleep a few days ago. It runs off the preferences, you can disable all buttons except the power button, and/or disable sounds.
Power button and the back button (which I have set to power on the Clie) still work and I've had no problems for it.

Thks Anita,
I have used KeepSleep for abt 3 weeks now.Although it serves exactlly what i need, but sad to say, i had to do soft resets for countless times ( it includes 2 hard resets). So i deleted the program already and everything was back to normal. Did you have this problem also? Are there any other apps that are free? i am using a T615 so no hold button.
The rest of the recommendations did not work becase all i wanted was to lock the hard keys.

Two key hack. It's a freeware you can find in palmgear.com. I had use it for as long as I remember. Very reliable.

You might not want to use the hold button because it keeps the processor and all the internals running(except for the screen)
It wouldn't save as much battery as having it off entirely.

I have been using it for about 4-5 weeks and not one soft or hard reset. You may want to redownload it again. I wanted something like this, since the hold butten interferes with my timed backups. I would recommend this app.
I was suspicious of those hacks and decided to go the low tech route: I put some small round rubber pads cut out from some extra unused borders around the rubber pads I had for my laptop base (didn't even have to use up any of the pads that were needed for the laptop), and stuck them in 4 locations around the buttons. They're slim but just enough to keep the cover from contacting the buttons and launching apps. And since I have the black T415, you don't even notice them. Even on my back up silver version, they're not objectionable because two of them are on the silver part, and two are on the black part.
If anyone wants a photo, I can email you one. I don't know how to get a photo into this message...

I've been running KeepSleep for a few months now and have not had any resets or problems that I can trace to it. If it is not a problem with your downloaded copy, it may be a conflict with another application.
