Clie not detecting MS - Is this only an NR issue?

I've already sent my NR to sony to fix the whole "my clie can't read a memory stick"/the contacts aren't great/Push the C on the clie logo on the back to get it to work.

Now, it's doing it again. Is this only a memory stick issue on the NR series? Anyone ever get probs like this on an NX or even NZ??? All my recent problems have made me feel that memory sticks are the floppy disks of the flash memory world... unreliable. But I have no probs in my sony digicams... just the NR's and I read of others problems as well.

Any input?

no, it's only the NR series...have you tried the paper trick?? that worked perfectly on mine....if you havent'..
take off the screws that hold the back casing, then you'll see the memory stck slot, it has a black casing, just take a piece of paper, fold it, and glue it on there....that puts enough pressure to keep it from happening, but don't fold too much, or it'll be hard to put the MS in...it sounds scary, but is really simple, just don't lose the screws :)
