Depends on your carrier. If it is Verizon you will be unhappy.

No I didn't get it working. I have Cingular. You need a code I think and I haven't figured mine out yet.

Do you mean the PIN code that is needed to pair devices?? Usually the default is 0000 (four zeroes).
