View Full Version : Tungsten E won't turn off - stutters

I purchased a new Tungsten E a few months ago to replace my old favorite. I finally charged it up last week and it ran fine, synched perfectly, etc. Today, without any changes to the system or preferences, it started faltering and was very slow to "read" my writing. A game that I play started running as if it were stuttering. I ran a few soft resets---no change. I tried to turn it off, and though it turned off briefly, IT TURNED ITSELF BACK ON! I know it's close to Halloween, but this little machine seems haunted. I'm intending to do a hard reset when I get back to my office tomorrow...any other clues?

Welcome to 1src!
Well, it could be an alarm turning it on... do you have any on?
A hard reset should fix it.

Thanks for the quick response. I have no alarms set, but for some reason, it began behaving itself this morning after having been on all night (but plugged into the recharger). My first hard reset did nothing, but as of now, I've resynched it an all's well. Maybe it's an early Halloween haunting.
Thanks again.

The hard reset didn't do anything? Did it not do anything before or after you restored your data?
