I tried moving mp3's from MSAUDIO on my MS to MSAUDIO on my CF card and it thinks that its the same directory because it has the same name.

Think this is an issue that eruware has to consider fixing? Someone else should try this to verify this problem.

On a side note, why does it take like 15-20 minutes to move 50 megs of mp3's from one folder on the CF card to another folder on the same card? Something doesn't seem right about that.

Yep that's a total pain. You need to copy them over to a temporary folder somewhere on the CF, then move them to the proper folder... which takes forever. Alternatively, you can rename the folder on the CF card, then copy the songs over, then rename it back.

Would be kinda nice if this wasn't necessary... considering this driver is "final" not "beta"

i havent had that problem. both my 64mb ms card and my 64mb cf card have in some cases the exact folder name.

ive used zlauncher to copy a file from the ms to the cf and havent any problems with it.

it depends which file manager you use, Cliefiles sees both cards as named MS, so you are effectivley trying to copy from MS:\1 to MS:\1 (nogo) . other file managers name the cards differently , or use the volume names so it isn't a problem

in some cases you cant name them differently because if your going to use the cf card and trick the clie to think its a ms card you need to have the correct folders.

like i said, ive used zlauncher and havent had any problems. i have the exact same 'multimedia' folders on both my ms & cf cards.

HOWEVER.......

i just tried doing the same thing with the default folder and i came up with the same error message you had. i guess the default launcher is not the way to go for this operation at this stage.

This problem does not happend with FileZ. I'm sure other file managers that support multiple vfs volumes would also work.

I have this probelm I guess I need to look at other file manager options. I'll check out what is listed on files section of ClieSource but if someone has ones they like can the list them.

I see from posts above zlauncher and FileZ. I want something really simple mainly to copy images from MS to CF. I can use cliefiles but would like not to have directory naming problem because both show as "MS" and also better technique for moving within a card (seems to copy then erase, so if big file may say not enough space)
