my 1st poll..... With DTG9 out, the usual upgrade price point of $30 that's always been in effect is under debate again. I always wanted to see what people are really willing to pay and what people really feel is reasonable for major DTG updates....

It would be nice to also hear reasons for people's polling selection, e.g. "I'm piss poor", "DataViz is evil", "it's worth every penny to have mobile Office", etc. My response is $0, as I don't really need the new features. In fact, I'm using DTG7, but could've stayed at DTG6 since I use it sometimes, and only for Personal use. If I really needed to do more Office work than I do now (or any for that matter) with more advanced features, I could see myself either getting a laptop instead or only getting every other update

most software upgrades of major version require you to pay something and that seems reasonable. One assumes that a decent amount of work has gone into a major version upgrade and that there are new features, etc. That said, I'm not really a big user of handheld office products. At one time I owned Quickoffice Premium 7.5 (started with 6.x). QO was a good app and I probably would have stayed with it had I not bought a TX which already had D2G7 on it. D2G v7 was pretty good and I didn't upgrade to 8 because I use palmpdf. When the deal to upgrade to 8 with a free upgrade to 9 came along I took it. I may not have been so quick had I realized that I would have to pay an additional $20 bucks to get office 2007 compatibility.

I voted $10-20.
