Hi. I have a Tungsten E2. It's developed a problem with the stylus/screen.
on the calibration screen, I can tap on the centre of the +'s and it just keeps repeating the calibration sequence. If I tap half cm above the +, it works and I can use the palm. However, I have to tap 4-5mm above what I'm trying to tap. If that makes sense?
Checked this in a paint/draw app, and when you draw a horizontal line, the line appears 4-5mm below the stylus...

can anyone suggest a reason or cure for this? or is it time to replace?

thanks in advance.
Chris

Well, there are probably some digitizer issues there, but for a short-term solution you might want to try PowerDigi from http://www.palmpowerups.com/

I've never tried it, so I don't know what results you'll get. My digitizer calibration improved immensely with MySkin's 4-point calibration, but since you have an E2 MySkin is kind of pointless and is probably a bad idea.

Other than software solutions, you may need a new digitizer -- if your Palm is still under warranty, then you can probably send it in. Otherwise, you may have to replace it yourself or get someone else to do it.

I would say try PowerDigi or another third-party calibration application, and if it still doesn't help, get it fixed. Hope that helps.

I just checked the PowerDigi description and it looks like it's only for 320x480 screens and the E2 is only 320x320. In any event, I would still try looking for a third-party calibration program.
