Ack! I just got my T665 and it won't turn on. After charging it, pressed the power button. Now the green light is on and the light by the memory stick is on, but the screen won't turn on. Am I doing something wrong? I tried soft, warm, and hard reset, all to no avail.

either the hold slider (next to the jog dial) is activated or its broken.

Once it charges to about 50% (though 100% is recommended) you may turn it on. It's not like the other ones where when you plug it into the adaptor, it'll suddenly work but without the backlight. With me, it worked for a second then turned off. Then I tryed in 20 minutes because I was restless, it worked and was at 75% charge. I think this is just a T665c issue because that didn't happen with my old SJ22

Sinds the light of your memorystick is on try to remove your memorystick first than try hard/soft reset...

That's exactly what I did! It came on (backlight and everything) for a couple seconds and then went dead. So I charged it up some more and still dead with green light & memory stick light (even with no MS in it). Should I return it?

When you turn it on, try holding the power button, so it will turn the backlight on. I forgot to say that's what I also did :p

Still no dice. Power and reset buttons don't seem to do anything. It just stays with the green light and MS light on...won't turn off or turn the screen on :(

Try leaving your clie out of the cradle so that the battery dies completely, then recharge it.
not sure if it would help, but you might want to try that

Thanks, thanks, 1000x thanks! That worked like a charm! Let it die, then charged it up all the way, unhooked it from the charger, turned it on and it is well now :) Thanks!
